I always pressed a reset button of the desktop PC. Since today, after a windows update even after new full updates with long installation time , I do not see any crash regarding to the progress bar. It is fine but the Windows does not work with p resolution. It is set to Microsoft Basic Display driver with resolution x I can not change to x because the drop list is limited to x and x Uninstalled these updates, viola 2 monitors again. But, once again in 20 seconds - how can I make sure I have these files should I need to update again - the manuf.
That worked perfectly. My older version of my Display Adapter driver was from 2 years ago. I had already done some research and had uninstalled the latest Windows security update from a week ago. It took 10 minutes, but did not fix the screen resolution. Then I had to reinstall it anyway for security purposes. I followed your instruction. However, after then nothing happens in the Device manager. Choose where you want to search below Search Search the Community. What next??? Why is Windows using the basic driver? In reply to ErikCoenders's post on November 23, I had this same issue start today also. November 23 The " if there is a compatible driver and you already have the driver files, then all you need to do is point to it and Windows automatically install it for you.
Is there a way I can save those files for later use if I have to format from scratch? In reply to MRShepherd77's post on November 24, Should add, it was super easy once I knew what to do.
